Welcome to 1st Solihull Commanche Beavers
Who are we?
We started in September 1984 with 12 boys taken from the waiting lists of the two Cub Packs. We have a waiting list of our own now and we always have someone waiting to join us. We have a mixture of boys & girls at the moment. Our Group agreed quite a few years ago to accept girls. The Scouting Movement is now saying that all Groups should accept girls within the next 2 years. It is good to know that our Group has already taken this step.
HELP!
We need a `Parent Representative’ to support us as a Section. This would mean helping to organise transport or parental support for a few activities & attending our Group Executive meetings held once every 3 months.
Leaders/Helpers are urgently required. As I said earlier I have been Leader for a very long time. Whilst I do not wish to retire yet we really need some new people to come in, willing to give up a couple of hours each week during term time. It really can be very enjoyable working with the children.
